Tier 1 — GISCP Verified Associate Status
- Purpose: Entry-level professional or students in geospatial and GIS-related roles.
- Baseline Requirements: Verified identity/profile, minimum geospatial education OR relevant professional experience, submitted CV, agreement to the GISCP Code of Ethics, and basic profile review by the GISCP Council.
- Registry Status: Searchable public profile with an officially issued GISCP Registry ID.Â
Tier 2 — GISCP Verified Practitioner Status
- Purpose: Core professional recognition for practitioners whose experience, credentials, and track record have undergone rigorous, documented validation.
- Baseline Requirements: All Tier 1 criteria, plus a minimum of 2+ years of relevant geospatial experience. Includes deep Council evidence review of work history and project portfolios.
- Registry Status: Searchable public profile with an officially issued GISCP Registry ID.
Tier 3 — GISCP Verified Specialist Status
- Purpose: High-trust, elite professional recognition based on comprehensive experience, deep evidence validation, and dual-peer endorsement.
- Baseline Requirements: All Tier 2 criteria, plus a minimum of 5+ years of advanced professional experience. Requires an extensive, complete evidence package demonstrating advanced professional competence, full ethics confirmation, and a minimum of 2 completed professional references successfully processed by our validation system.
- Registry Status: Listed publicly as a GISCP Verified Specialist.
Tier 4 — GISCP Fellow Status
- Purpose: The pinnacle of professional recognition, reserved exclusively for senior statesmen, industry trailblazers, and visionary leaders.
- Baseline Requirements: Minimum of 10+ years of extensive experience. Awarded based on profound contributions to the geospatial profession, specialized innovation, published breakthroughs, mentorship legacy, or direct Council nomination.
- Registry Status: Honored publicly as a GISCP Fellow.
